The San Ignacio Province is nestled in the heights of Cajamarca region in Northern Peru close to Ecuador’s border. Founded in 1969, the Agraria Frontera San Ignacio Cooperative serves farms located in protected natural zones. The small producers focus on organic, sustainable practices to safeguard local wildlife, including tapirs – the inspiration behind the Peru Tapir Andino coffee’s name.
Hope Coffee are the third generation coffee producers in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The family farm, La Esperanza in San Pedro Necta, is managed by Don Otto which was established by his father Don Octavio in 1974. With many years of dedication, Don Otto recognised the importance of sustainable coffee farming in harmony with local fauna and the flora surrounding it. Since 1985, Don Otto has championed organic practices, enriching the soil year after year to prevent soil erosion and nourish coffee plants organically, yielding consistently stable, sweet and clean coffee.
