Mozzo

April 2009

Greetings from the world of Mozzo!

Would it surprise you if we said things have been amazingly busy? Maybe not!

This is a little run down of what we’ve been up to…

Froom froom, the Tuk Tuk has arrived!

We had an awesome time this weekend in Frome supporting their first Artisan Market.

The Mozzo Cart (where it all began) made a special appearance, along with some very special red bowler hats. Traders had a wicked day, made all the better by the magic Mozzo beans jumping up and down the hill.

If you live in the area and missed the opportunity then get involved in the next market being held on Sunday 3rd May.

Plastic Fantastic!

Not only do the Mozzo Masters accept birthday cards, Christmas cards and anniversary cards, we now accept Visa cards, Mastercards and Maestro cards.

You can now order your Mozzo coffee for home on the Beanline by calling 02380 700 007

THE Magic Mozzo Box Has Landed

Some liken it to the Rubik’s cube, others to a complex depiction of the pillars that Mozzo stands for. Our new box is visually exciting AND doesn’t take forever to tear off all that plastic tape when you’re doing the recycling- because it doesn’t have any!

We’ve crunched the numbers and it will actually save 9 miles this year alone!

We’re also using it as another canvas (boxes, bags, postcards, posters…) for our Mozzo Artist. Personally, we just think it rocks- a lot!

Gustav Balderdash Battled Through to the Finals!

The current Mozzo Artist, Gustav Balderdash, featuring on Mozzo canvases across the country has again made the finals of Secret Wars in Southampton. If you’re up for a completely different night out then get yourself down to the Soul Cellar on 30th April for the big evening.

A live art battle hosted around the world in various cities and dark venues, Secret Wars has grown through word of mouth and having a global mission to turn live art into a recognised sport.

With just 90 minutes on the clock, a white wall and black ink pens, artists are told to ‘GO BIG OR GO HOME’. So far Gustav has done outstandingly so we are expecting big things! Go to Secret Wars to find out more.

It’s not Green Camping, it’s Tangerine Camping

So who’s already getting booked up for the festival season? This should make it easier… A festival campsite that is good and green as well arranging all the bit ‘n’ bobs that go with it- we like it!

Tangerine Fields not only provide you with a ready assembled tent, they’ll also make sure you’ve got a cosy little gas stove and kettle set up for when you arrive after that long journey staring at the back end of a V-Dub camper van.

And when you leave, they’ll re-use your camping gear until it’s reached the end of its life and leave the camp site as they found it.

Rach is already booked in for the Hay-on-Wye Festival and thought she might even upgrade to a Squrt.

Finding the beans…

Cambridge is good for two reasons- the first being that a little bit of punting is way more fun than your average row about on a river and the second being, you don’t have to know a whole load about history to come away feeling like you’ve had a proper cultural experience. We have had to remind Stretch that stopping in the middle of the road to look up in awe at your surroundings possibly isn’t the way to do it though.

Well that aside, Mozzo can add another reason! No surprise that it involves some magic Mozzo beans and some Mozzo partners. Get yourself to the Market Square in the heart of Cambridge and you’ll find La Raza- a very cool venue for chilling, boogying and socialising, Ta Bouche- a wicked place for the ever so special party and Waffle Bar- the place to end your day with a Mozzo Coffee and the best live music in Cambridge. Check out La Raza for more info.

Wrap your ears around this- The Winter Kings

Ruth, who works at Trinity Stores in Balham has got us in touch with The Winter Kings. She is their ever so special guest Cellist making up part of their 5 piece band.

We’re not sure if hauntingly beautiful is the right term to use here but they describe themselves as a folk rock group that sound like ‘the time bell when you’re thirsty and the Devil buys your drinks.’

You can do some proper jiggling to these guys and maybe even some head rocking if the mood takes you!
