August 2008
Life is getting busier by the day here in Mozzo World, which is why we’re on the look out for some help! Check out the story below for more details… Meanwhile, sit back, relax and enjoy August’s edition of our little round up of all things coffee, art and pedal powered…
Pedal power urban street racing with a purpose… raising money for the Community2Community Fund™
Our friends at UnLtd in partnership with Thin Martian have dreamed up a scenario where 30 social enterprises race each other using kids pedal bikes around the streets of Shoreditch, London, in what will be known as the Shoreditch Grand Prix.
Team Mozzo needs your support!!! On race day, Sunday August 31st, the Mozzo Cart will be serving coffees to supporters and racers alike, whilst Team Mozzo will be going head to head against the rest of the field, racing to raise money for the Community2Community Fund™.
As a charity the Community2Community Fund™ will receive a direct contribution from every bag and case of magic Mozzo Coffee sold. This money will be used to further support the Mozzo Coffee farming communities in Colombia and emerging artistic talent here in the UK. Please help us to give the fund kick start and make a real impact by making a donation (every bean counts!!!) at… www.everyclick.com/grantlang”
Iced Bean Sundae… picks a winner
Following the success of the magic Mozzo beans at Glastonbury last month, we decided to head on down to Clapham Common and join the girls and boys from Ben and Jerry’s at their lovely little ‘Sundae Festival’.
What a pleasure it was to be back behind the controls the Mozzo Cart, and boy did she get a work out! Providing the perfect complement to the mountains of ice cream, the magic Mozzo beans certainly caught the crowd’s eye (and belly).
Catching the eye was our competition to win a magic Mozzo Hamper… a great and grand prize won by… Justin Weiler… happy beans Justin!
Find the Bean…

Delicious Deli…

Cottage Lodge…
The New Forest is a magic secret waiting to be discovered. Christina Simons and her team have created the perfect, quite quintessential Bed & Breakfast from which to explore the wonders of the forest… www.cottagehotel.org. Green to the core, serving Mozzo magic with breakfast and definitely worth it.
Coffee Tips and Tricks… drink coffee… go green!
Recycling coffee grounds is a great way to reduce garbage and help the earth at the same time. Next time you make a filter/cafetiere save the grounds and mix them with your regular compost and it will speed up the composting process!
Or you can put them straight on the garden instead and spread them around garden or house plants, this will help keep the weeds down, slugs away and fertilise the soil at the same time… cool beans :>)!
Coffee Tips & Tricks is bought to you by Miranda La-Crette and Coffee LoversUK our Mozzo Coffee Training partners.
